Tour Kick Off - Catching You by Katie Gallagher

Suspense/Thriller
Date Published:11/5/12

This was supposed to be the best summer of Lauren’s life. It turns out to be the worst.

After Lauren wakes up in the hospital and learns that her boyfriend Ryan has died, her life slowly begins to unravel. She soon begins receiving mysterious text messages that make her wonder if his death was even an accident like everyone is saying. She finds herself leaning on Nick, her boyfriend’s best friend, for support. He tells her tidbits about Ryan’s life that make her wonder if she even knew her own boyfriend at all. Now, she’s even more determined to learn the truth about Ryan’s death and she wonders who she’s able to trust. She starts confiding in her best friend, Bryn, until she remembers something about the accident that makes her wonder if she’s trusted the wrong person the entire time. She’s determined to get justice for Ryan, but can she do it without losing her best friends?

Reading Addiction Blog Tours MEET and GREET

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
Yes J I often come home from my day job and sit down at the computer and try to write at least a page, it’s usually more though, of my WIP before I go to bed. Although, I hope that one day, I will be able to stay at home full time and write.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?

Wait, what was the question again? I have a tendency to get distracted by the internet when I sit down and write at the computer. I usually have three different windows open on my computer at the same time. M.S. Word, writers’ blogs that I enjoy reading, and my email.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
It would be hard to pick just one person who helped me through my writing journey. Without fellow author, J.S. Chancellor, I would have never have even thought that my novel was good enough to be published. She then introduced me to Tiffany Cole who first critiqued my novel last year as I began thinking about editing. And finally, my close friend Megan, who I call Editor M, has taken hours of her time to sit down with my manuscript and line edit it to death; pointing out grammar mistakes and suggesting how to get the story moving.

#4 – What is next for your writing?
I didn’t expect that Catching You would turn into a series, but I’m currently working on book #2, tentatively titled The Betrayal, which deals with the events that happened beforehand, I also have a few more stories on my computer that I would love to see in print J

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?
Haha, yes I do. I used to be able to read a book one at a time, but ever since I got my Kindle Touch for my birthday, I take forever to finish a book! Right now I’m reading three different books at once; Kim Harrison’s Into the Woods, a short story anthology, Laurell K. Hamilton’s Obsidian Butterfly and Chelsea Fine’s Awry.
