Tour Kick Off - Wings of The Butterfly by @StephMPace

YA Fantasy
Date Published: August 15, 2014

Three nations teeter on the brink of war, and caught in the middle, a brother and sister find themselves surrounded by dangers they never imagined.

Adopted by the Yurha, Toby still struggles to properly fit in.  Hunting in the forest, he stumbles across a jeweled cuff that attaches to his wrist and won’t come off.  Afraid at first, he is soon thrilled to discover the cuff carries powerful magic.  But as he tries to control it, he realizes the cuff is still linked to its original owner - an owner who will go to cruel lengths to get his magic back.

Miles away, Toby’s twin sister Ora struggles with life in a strange city.  She and family have fled Yois for Nietza, where Ora will not be arrested for possessing magic.  However, Nietza is not the magical paradise Ora had imagined.  Despite her new friends, she can’t feel safe in a country where women are little more than pawns.

Secrets, brutal murders and war edging ever closer drive both siblings from their safe places.  Failure to stop those who pursue them will mean a fate worse than death.

Tour Kick Off - Binding Agreement by @McKennaErotica #giveaway

Erotic Romance Novella

Date Published: July 2014

A chance encounter on a moonlit beach draws sensible, cautious Kay Denehy into a night of anonymous passion and surrender with a ruthlessly dominant stranger. As John Randall introduces her to the exotic thrills of bondage and discipline, she discovers who she really is under the prim schoolteacher exterior—a sexual submissive who needs the strict and ardent guidance of a take-no-prisoners Dom like him. John carries more than his share of emotional baggage, the result of a tragedy for which he feels responsible. Though he cares for Kay, he refuses to pursue a relationship, certain he could only bring her pain. He pushes her away even as his unconscious dream self turns her into a sex slave to be punished and enjoyed ménage-style by two other zealous and demanding Doms. For the first time in her life, Kay knows what she needs, and who she needs, to be sexually and emotionally fulfilled. She knows, too, the path John must take to escape his dark places—if only he’ll trust her to lead the way.

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?

Absolutely! It’s the hardest work I’ve ever done, but also the most rewarding. I’ll stop writing when they pry my keyboard from my cold, dead fingers.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?

Facing the blank page—or rather, the blank computer screen—is definitely the toughest part. Self-editing afterward is so much easier. There’s a saying we writers have: I hate writing, but I love having written.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?

I have a pal from my writers’ group who shares a mini writing retreat with me every Saturday. She offers fantastic feedback and is always there for mutual support. For that matter, I’m blessed to have a lot of wonderful writer friends.

#4 – What is next for your writing?

I’m working on a new story idea that ties in to my favorite erotic theme: BDSM. Some readers have asked me to write Erik’s story. He’s the big, gorgeous ex-Navy Seal who is now a sex-slave trainer, and we meet him in the last part of Binding Agreement. I honestly can’t blame my readers for falling in love with him.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are youcurrently reading?

Of course I’m addicted to reading! I just finished a wonderful novella by a new talent in erotica: The Mark by Arla Dahl. The setting is New England during the witch hysteria of the 17th century. What fun!

This or That?

 #1 - iPd or Mp3?

Both! Anything that gets my music and audiobooks into my head is good.

#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla?

Vanilla is highly underrated, although chocolate has undeniable appeal. It all depends on which body part it’s applied to.

#3 – Mashed Potatoes or French Fries?

Well, if I must choose, let it be yummy, crispy, greasy fries!

#4 – Comedy or Drama?

I always insert a bit of wit into my writing, which in no way detracts from its erotic appeal, so I’d have to say comedy.

#5 – iPhone or Droid?

How could I possibly choose? Each has its advantages. See how neatly I got out of that one? J

#6 – Fantasy or Reality?

What do you think? I write lies for a living!

#7 – Call or Text?

At this point I do more texting than calling, but there are times when there’s no substitute for hearing someone’s sexy voice in your ear.

#8 – Summer or Winter?

Summer! Fewer clothes.

#9 – Coffee or Hot Chocolate?

I have a T-shirt that says “Instant human: just add coffee.” Does that answer your question?

#10 – eBook or Paperback?

I read both, but I love how many books my tiny ereader holds, and how easy it is to adjust font, brightness, and all that.

Tour Kick Off - The Perfect Boyfriend by @rs_novelle #giveaway

Book #2 in the Boyfriend series
New Adult Romance
Date Published: TBD

The Perfect Boyfriend picks up right where we left Reagan and Ian in The Boyfriend List.
As their friendship blossoms quickly into a steamy romance, Reagan and Ian have to learn to navigate their shifting relationship...and everything that entails. But their newfound bliss doesn’t come without a few unexpected challenges.
In the midst of realizing just how sweet the romance can be between them, and all the benefits of their new dynamic, Reagan is informed that her ideal situation has changed. Not only will she need to begin taking on more classes to speed up her graduation date, but she’ll also have to start looking for a job to supplement her fading income. Meanwhile, Ian has chosen to pull out of school once his father is diagnosed with a terminal illness in order to help manage the family business and spend time with him while he still can. But he wrestles with the guilt of leaving Reagan behind, and the pressure of his new responsibilities.
As the two meet their new challenges head-on, they’ll be forced to discover whether or not they’re as compatible as lovers as they were as friends. With their focus pulled in so many directions, will they have what it takes to keep a long distance relationship alive? Can Ian prove that he’s still be the perfect boyfriend, or will they fold to statistics under the growing tensions of their lives? Throw in some manipulative exes, a new boss with an inflated ego, and a co-worker from hell and the two have a recipe for either a fairy tale ending, or a complete disaster.
The Perfect Boyfriend is a New Adult Romance about trust, love, and discovering the true depths of personal strength.

Book #1 The Caspian Wine Series
Suspense/Thriller
Date Published: October 2012
She was kidnapped not once but twice and now someone wants her dead because of it...
Her life was a lie!
Bailey knew her upbringing wasn’t normal but she’s worked hard to stabilize her life. At 29, she finally has a good business, a stable home; her life is miles from that of her childhood. Then suddenly her mother dies, leaving a gaping hole and a discovery that they may not even be related. If Guy, the private investigator is to be believed, her life is a lie. Using the skills she learned on the streets, Bailey travels back through a sketchy and dangerous past, to find answers. Dodging bullets, staying ahead of those who want her dead and convincing Guy she can do it alone, are making it difficult to discover not only the secrets of her mother’s past but that of a family claiming she is theirs.
Everyone seems to have a story... but who’s telling the truth? And who wants her dead? Is Guy part of the solution? Or part of the problem? To discover the facts, she’ll have to untangle a web of deceit, lies, and secrets, dating back over thirty years.

But can she do it in time...

Captured Lies won Book of the Month LAS Reviews (March 2014)

"This is a story that when you start to read it you don’t want to put it down until you finish it." Cindy's Reviews
"Captured Lies is a very edge of your seat sort of book... I was totally enthralled with this book..." Tammy's Tea Time
"Maggie Thom has a hidden gem with Captured Lies!... Like an onion, each layer of this action-packed tale becomes more involved, more wickedly deceitful and more dangerous..." Tome Tender

"Captured Lies is an outstanding book and it was a book I couldn't put down..." Dee Sauter (Moderator Linda Howard Book Junkies)

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
I think writing is the most exciting and fulfilling career there is. There are so many areas to choose from - novels, freelance, articles, ghostwriting, fiction, nonfiction, technical… Really when you think about it every business needs a writer. J

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
I think it's when to stop the edits and the rewrites and know that it needs outside eyes to read and critique. So I guess it's that moment when you upload it to send off to your beta readers to get feedback and you hit the send button. J

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
I have a few writers and authors who I use for ideas, feedback, critiques. I also have a few people who are readers so I can get a different perspective on my writing.

#4 – What is next for your writing?
I have three novels currently published and I am working on two more - Deadly Ties and Split Seconds.

Deadly Ties - What connection could there be between a twenty year-old murder and a thirty year-old murder and a present day attack on Kyara's mother? Did her grandmother falsely go to jail for twenty-years?

Split Seconds - Twins sisters meet for the first time as adults and soon discover that someone has gone to great lengths to keep them apart and will even kill to ensure that continues.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?
I love to read. I am currently reading Everyone Burns by John Dolan. It's a crime mystery that's a bit different than the norm. I'm very caught up in it.
