Tour Kick Off: Hold On! by @Pete_Darley #giveaway

Romantic Suspense/Thriller
Date Published: July 9, 2014

Two lovers! A deadly conspiracy! A race to freedom!

When Carringby Industries, a government-contracted arms manufacturer, is raided by what appear to be terrorists, the CEO’s secretary, Belinda Reese, is rescued by Brandon Drake, a dashing young AWOL soldier. Using an experimental test aircraft, he flees with her to his remote, isolated cabin in the mountains of Aspen.

While assisting in the design of military weaponry, Brandon discovered a plot within his own government to attack its own facilities, under the guidance of immoral politician, Senator Garrison Treadwell. Belinda’s body was not found among the dead at Carringby Industries, and Treadwell suspects that Drake was responsible for rescuing her. In an effort to entrap him, Treadwell arranges for an all points bulletin to be placed on Belinda.

Deeply in love, Brandon and Belinda attempt to escape from America, only to endure one harrowing experience after another as they try to evade and expose Treadwell’s corrupt faction.

But on the run, with danger around every corner, Brandon makes a discovery so devastating that it shatters the very foundations of his reality.

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?

– Potentially, yes.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?

 – Getting a publishing contract.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?

– Not from my family. I tend to leave them out of it. I’ve learned from my own mistakes, and picked up many tips from my editor about how mainstream novels should be written today, as opposed to yesterday. I’ve also had a lot of support from some of my friends.

#4 – What is next for your writing?

– I’m currently working on Run! – Hold On! Season 3.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?

– I used to. I had a penchant for horror novels (believe it or not) and I am a major-league fan of Marvel Comics. With writing and marketing, I don’t get much time to read anymore. When I do, it’s generally to write a review for one of my colleague’s books.

Tour Kick Off: Written In Blood by Elaina Lee

Romantic Suspense
Date Published: Jan 1, 2011 (Re-published June 2014)

Written in Blood: A dark and sensual, award winning, romantic suspense.

Lyndi Crisdean is assigned one of the hardest cases in her career as a defense attorney. A serial murder case. Investigating is Alek Trevian, the lead investigator for the district attorney, and a handsome and supremely dangerous man. Lyndi finds herself in over her head when she chooses desire for Alek over common sense. If they're caught, Lyndi will lose everything she's worked for. Circumstances beyond her control pull her toward Alek, for he turns out to be the only one who can help when threats start to mount against her.

Lyndi may be the key Alek needs to bring down a murderous cult running loose in his city. When her beach house is broken into and a man begins to tail Lyndi, Alek can't help but reason Lyndi may be next on the cult's hitlist. The question is, will he discover the identity of the cult, keep her safe, and still win the case against the serial killer she's defending, all while losing a battle against the strong, untamable desire she alone ignites within him?

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?  I’m not to the point yet where I can to be honest.  Writing doesn’t pay my bills.  When it does, then it’ll be my career.  Until then it’s as much an escape for me as it hopefully is for my readers. J

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process? Finding the time to write!  My life is a crazy chaotic mess of cover designing, homeschooling, keeping my house clean and my family fed. Oh, and the dog walked, LOL!

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?  Oh yes! My critique partner Kate Devlin.  I honestly can’t write without her.  She’s my sounding board.  I call her my living muse. J

#4 – What is next for your writing? Establishing a readership and continuing my romantic suspense series The Crisdean Sisters.  Edge of a Bullet is in edits now and I’ve broke ground on Out of Lies. Very excited!

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading? I do!  I’m currently reading The Chronicles of Nick with my oldest.  Which is kind of a funny because I’m not a YA fan, but I’ve really enjoyed this series.

I'm Elaina Lee, romance writer. Since given an assignment in the 6th grade to write a fantasy story, I knew writing was a passion I'd never be able to do without.  From that moment on my imagination took flight.  Over the years I've written everything from the Dark Ages to Science Fiction, all with romantic elements, of course ;-).
As a mother of two boys, a kindergartner and high schooler, life is never boring in my house!  When I'm not keeping a little one out of trouble, or trying to keep my sanity as a boy migrates into a man, I write.  I'm very fortunate to have met my remarkable husband who has supported and encouraged my dreams of being an author since the day we met.
Thanks for taking the time to learn about me!

Tour Kick Off - Dead in a Dumpster by @blblair100 #giveaway

Mystery / Romance
Date Published:September 23, 2014

“I found the body on December 1st.  It was a horrible way to end an already terrible day.”

When Leah Norwood finds the body of Isabel Meeks in the dumpster behind her store, she never imagined the police would consider her a suspect. Sure, she didn’t liked Isabel, but then again, neither did anyone else. Isabel had a condescending attitude and a bad reputation. As manager of the antique store, Patina, she had made a lot of enemies.

There is Patina’s assistant manager, the handsome and charming Trent. Isabel was blackmailing him. There is Patina’s owner, the aloof and influential Anthony Thorpe.  Isabel was smuggling drugs through his store. And there is the entire drug dealing Cantono family. Isabel had lost a box containing heroin from one of their shipments. That is just to name a few and didn’t even include the stranger who was seen arguing with Isabel just hours before her death.

The police have too many suspects and too many soft alibis. Leah needs to prove to the sexy new chief of police that she had nothing to do with Isabel’s death.

Leah loves a good mystery. Can she find the killer before the police charge her with murder?

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?

I do see writing as a career.  Currently, it is my part-time career, but I hope to change that in the future.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?

The middle of the book.  I almost always know how the story begins and how it ends, but I struggle writing the middle.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?

My high school English teacher was a great influence.  He taught me a great deal about writing.

#4 – What is next for your writing?

I plan to write some short stories for the two series that I have written.  I would like to give some of the supporting characters a story of their own.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?

I do.  I read a great deal.  I am currently reading V.R. Marks’ RC Investigations series.

Twenty-eight-year-old Beth Lawrence finally has her life back on track. A job she loves, a wealthy husband and a beautiful home are a far cry from the tragedy that struck when she was nineteen. But now that her past seems firmly behind her, an old flame walks back into her life. Bringing back painful memories of a time she's worked hard to forget, reviving a passion she tried to bury years before.
Niall Joseph is an up-and-coming artist, recently returned from success in America. Volunteering to teach in an inner-city drug clinic, the last person he expects to see is the girl who broke his heart nine years earlier. Working closely together allows their old wounds to heal, forging a deeper connection between them. One that slowly starts to burn.
As she becomes tangled up with a neglected child and her drug-addict mother, Beth finds herself drawn to Niall. But neither of them can anticipate how hard it is to tread the thin line between friendship and desire.
