Part Two: Sex. Coffee. Time Travel. Coming Soon
Adventure-romance author, Lesley Meryn, has lived her own share of adventures. But the one thing she has never experienced is the "coupe de foudre", the Lightning-Bolt of Love. Connected by years of friendship to the sexy action-movie star, Jason Hambrey, Jax, the two really are "just friends" but the paparazzi are merciless, making their lives and their friendship almost impossible to sustain.
When Lesley's Aunt dies, leaving her a piece of property in North Yorkshire, Lesley is mystified. Her aunt kept it a secret. Lesley travels to London and learns her that her aunt leased the property twenty-five years before to an 'Historical Research Society'. The lease on the property is up for renewal. Before she makes her decision; Lesley travels to the farm to investigate
Nothing could prepare her for what she finds at the farm. Miles Sherwood is dark, devious, and desperate. He's the very last person one would consider the head of a stuffy British 'Historical Society'
Lesley finds him insufferable, yet irresistibly attractive. The two unknowingly share a deep connection. Whether they like it or not...it's Lightning-Time!
#1 – Do You See
Writing as a Career?
I write because I love it. Writing makes me happy. If my
readers enjoy my stories, then I consider my work a success. As far as a career goes, that would be rather
nice, but right now I see my goal as being an author with happy readers.
#2 – What was the
Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
Weathering all the interruptions and shocks of Real Life,
and waiting and waiting until I could get back to writing. Having the time to
write is a gift, and there have been long periods where it hasn't been
possible. But now that I have the time,
I've been savoring every moment!
#3 – Did you have any
One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
Yes I have a close friend, another writer, who has been
incredibly supportive to me during all of this. I live outside of the United
States, in Costa Rica, so she keeps me up on what's going on in trends,
etc. She is one of my Beta Readers and
my 'go to' person when I have a question about technical matters involving
indie publishing. I'm so far out of the
loop, I'm orbiting Saturn.
#4 – What is next for
your writing?
I'm currently finishing my third book, Saber and Steele: The
Halcyon Vengeance. It could be number
one of a possible new series. It's meant to be a funny, fast read with a Hero
and Heroine that are reluctant partners after both meet while trying to steal
the same Faberge egg, but for very
different reasons.
#5 – Do you have an
addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?
I happen to think that reading and a desire for writing are
interconnected, at least for me. My reading is very eclectic. I have a
curiosity to know about everything. I'm
between books right now, as I am finishing up writing my latest book. But my
last book read was The Flight of the Silvers, by Daniel Price. I really enjoy
reading science fiction, certain romances, Nordic Noir, and I love the classics
by Alexandre Dumas, Rafael Sabatini, Daniel Defoe, and Jack London.

Elle grew up in Los Angeles, California, but has lived in San Francisco and then Jamaica when she was a Peace Corps Volunteer. At the age of twelve she became obsessed with keeping falcons in the back yard. Fortunately, for the hundreds of hapless French poodles living in the San Fernando Valley at the time, she was not allowed to do this. In the course of the following years, she took on the challenges of earlier times, learning how to fence, how to ride horses, archery skills, and she even took a "Grand Tour of Europe". Travel continues to be a passion of hers. Her father always claimed that she had been born into the wrong century. He may have been right. Elle currently lives in the central highlands of Costa Rica with her dog Pixie, and her hedgehog, Quiller.
