Date Published: 8/18/2015

Morrigan is beyond death, trapped in a hellish nightmare from which only the Artist can save her. The Fiend is behind enemy lines learning to reap what he has sown. The Artist reaches deep into his past to find a reason for the strange woman he now must rescue from the vile Dark Man. The Winged Man is forced to wait while all of the elements he needs to start war with hell itself fall into place. Will he fight alone or will his shattered family unite with him?

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?

Yes, it is a career. I've been lucky enough to diversify my writing. I have a full-time copywriting career working for a range of clients from small business owners to national news corporations. I've even monetized my own blogs, so I could write about topics I found interesting. Fiction writing is only a small portion of what I do, but it is an important facet of my job.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?

The hardest part of writing for me is putting the finishing touches on a piece. Turning a rough draft into a polished novel takes a lot of patience, especially given the number of steps it takes to be sure your piece is as good as it is going to be. It's a very particular process that really re-defines tedium.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?

I couldn't say any one person helped me with my writing. My skill set and my novels, whatever their value, are the result of years spent reading writing books, taking writing courses, listening to copywriters, listening to novelists, listening to lectures and paying attention to the fiction I love. I wish I could list all of those influences, but it would make for a long list.

#4 – What is next for your writing?

I think my next projects are finishing a short story anthology and a book I started when I was in my early 20s. Multiple projects are in the planning stages, but those are the two that are in-process.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?

Yes, definitely. I am currently reading "The Queen of Bedlam" by Robert McCammon.

DESCRIBE Your Book in 1 Tweet:

August's Gardens, the sequel to Morrigan's Shadows, pits the Dark Man against the creators of dreams. August has to find a way to get Morrigan back from the dead, so his family can unite before their world is destroyed.

This or That?

#1 - iPod or Mp3?

iPod, I mean, obviously.

#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla?

What's vanilla?

#3 – Mashed Potatoes or French Fries?

You can't make me choose!

#4 – Comedy or Drama?

That's a tough one. I can't decide. They are both equally important in my house.

#5 – Danielle Steel or Nicholas Sparks?

Um, neither. Now I sound like a jerk, but neither of them are my style.

#6 – Fantasy or Reality?

Fantasy, but I can take it mixed with reality.

#7 – Call or Text?

Call, every time. Texting is annoying if it is more than a few words.

#8 – Public School or Home School?

Public school, unless your mom or dad is a licensed teaching professional who is willing to commit to a curriculum that at least matches, if not outshines, the local public school curriculum.

#9 – Coffee or Hot Chocolate

Both mixed together. Chocolate coffee for the win1

#10 – eBook or Paperback?

Paperback. I'm still getting used to the fact that my Kindle doesn't open to a page on the left and a page on the right.
