Tour Kick Off: Intensity by @authorcckoen #giveaway

Contemporary / New Adult

Date Published:October 2014
What would you do to improve your life?
Twenty-one-year-old Serena Thomas is faced with a tough decision. Unable to get ahead of debt and loneliness since her grandmother’s death she finds a new job, placing the sheltered virgin in an underground escort business. She tells herself it’s just a temporary life choice, but destiny has a different plan. She meets a mysterious and gorgeous man, who happens to be her new boss. Will Serena fit in or will she be left all alone again?
Lincoln (aka: Linc) Jefferson has an unusual life. He established The Lounge, an exclusive escort club for very personal reasons. A place where the women say who, when, and what type of sex they’re willing to have. The escorts possess all the power and the money. It’s a business Linc guards at all costs. Trying to maintain the secrecy is a constant challenge and one that’s tested when he enters into a relationship with Serena. She tempts him unlike any woman, even though he’s surrounded by beauty on a daily basis. The more time they spend together the harder it is for him to keep his secrets. Will Serena stand by his side or will she abandon him?

Sparks and passion fly, taking these two on a journey neither could have expected.

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?

Right now writing is a creative outlet. I’m exploring a side of myself I didn’t know existed before. I teach during the daytime and write romance in the evening. Eventually, if all works out, I’d love to write for my career full-time.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?

Since Intensity was my debut novel, I would have to say all of it was challenging. I had to learn while I wrote, which caused a lot of frustration. However, since I LOVE a challenge, I dove in wholeheartedly.

I took my time and didn’t try to rush to publication. As a teacher, I put a great deal of pressure on myself to provide a quality education for my students and develop professional resources for them. Therefore, I spent a great deal of time obsessing over every word, every scene, and every chapter until I felt the story was one I could be proud of. Now that I’ve been bitten by the writing bug, I can’t wait to publish my next novel.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?

Not really. My family did not know about my writing venture, and only a handful of my friends were aware I wrote a novel.

#4 – What is next for your writing?

I’m working on two novels currently. The sequel to Intensity, which is titled, Serenity and will be released fall 2015. The second novel is a sweet romance and completely different from Intensity.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?

Absolutely. I have about 1200+ books in my Nook library and about 500+ in my Kindle PC library. Right now I’m jumping around with my reading. I’m rereading some of my favorite novels stored on my Nook. On my Kindle PC, I’m reading stories by a few authors who are part of a writing community I belong to, and who just released their novels.
