Tour Kick Off - Meet and Greet - Chemical Reaction by Christina Thomspon

Thriller w/ Romance
Date Published: 10/07/2013

In Chemical Reaction, the sequel to Chemical Attraction, FBI Agent Joe Roberts and his fiancée, Dr. Madeline Pierce, must track down a rage-producing nano-drug before it devastates the nation.

Staying in Detroit with the FBI, Madeline works to develop an antidote from the confiscated journals. She clashes with the women from Joe’s past. In West Michigan, Joe hunts for the bio-weapon. With a history as a player, he’s worried his relationship with Madeline is at risk. Working apart, they attempt to focus on the threat.

Before Joe returns, agents are killed, Madeline is abducted, and the deadly nano-drug is put on the market. Without the journals, the mastermind needs Madeline to reproduce the drug.
While she plays a dangerous game of deceit, Joe struggles to put his fears of losing her aside to find the weapon first. Her life, their future, and the nation’s security are in jeopardy. Joe must now choose between his personal desire and his professional integrity. Can he live with the consequences?

Haven't Read Book #1?

FBI Agent Joe Roberts wants that instant chemistry with a woman like the ones his sisters have with their husbands. After years of searching, he finds it with Dr. Madeline Pierce. The problem—she’s his contact on a dangerous case.

When Madeline discovers an extensive operation of meth production and distribution within her medical research facility, Joe goes undercover as her boyfriend to determine the degree of company involvement. They determine the meth is financing a volatile nano-drug.

The small West Michigan farming town is in turmoil over horrific animal attacks. Someone is experimenting outside the laboratory. Are human test subjects next? With the help of Joe’s sister Eva, who works at the local clinic, and her law enforcement husband, Joe and Madeline hunt for this new bio-weapon. Will they give in to temptation? She thinks he’s playing her like the men from her past. He needs to convince her otherwise.

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
No. Retired from massage therapy and acupuncture, I’ve moved on to my newest passion: Writing. It’s more than a nine-to-five job to me; it’s a calling.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
The hardest part is ignoring the distractions like an overflowing pile of dirty laundry in the basket and an inch of dust on the coffee table.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
My dear friends, Kass and Pam, as well as my sister and husband, pushed me into submitting my stories and pursuing this dream.

#4 – What is next for your writing?
Right now, I’m editing the third book in the series, Their Rigid Rules. This prequel to Chemical Attraction involves Joe, Eva, and their sister, Taylor. (In college, they fight against the new changes in their lives and learn they must embrace a new mindset and trust in their love for each other.)

DESCRIBE Your Book in 1 Tweet:
Explore sinister scientific research and the intense chemistry of love and lust.

This or That?

#1 - iPd or Mp3?
My son loaded a bunch of songs onto my new iPhone, so which would that be? …lol…I may not be a tech, but I still know what acupuncture point alleviates migraines. Over the years, I’ve learned that it’s okay not to know everything.

#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla?
I love chunks of chewy crunchy goodness in any flavor of ice cream.

#3 – Mashed Potatoes or French Fries?
Mashed potatoes and beef gravy are my comfort foods of choice.

#4 – Comedy or Drama?
Definitely comedy…I love smart funny banter.

#5 – Fantasy or Reality?
Hmm…My husband got me hooked on The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordon and The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, but I write contemporary fiction…

#6 – Call or Text?
I have an aversion to talking on the phone. Texting allows me to check in with my busy adult children. It’s a wonderful feeling to get a text out of the blue from them about some random thing they’re doing.

#7 – Public School or Home School?
Public school…but, yikes, I was a tall gangly band geek in high school.

#8 – Coffee or Hot Chocolate?
Coffee…I love my Keurig. I have a supply of Sumatran Blend and Cinnabon creamer.

#9 – eBook or Paperback?
If I can read a book in print, I prefer it, but my loaded Kindle Fire is great for long trips. It also depends on if the battery’s charged on the kindle or if I have enough light to read in print…

I’d love to meet everyone following the tour, so please leave a comment along the way.
Thanks, Christina
