YA Paranormal
Date Published: 9/27/12
Witches. Vampires. Werewolves. Demons.
Moving to Salem introduces Lily Mauve to a whole new world, one she is in the centre of.
If making new friends and falling in love isn't enough, there's also the fact she's a witch.
A witch destined to be a triple goddess and defeat the man who has hunted her kind for over three hundred years.
Faced with heartbreak, never-ending family secrets, lies and betrayal, she must stand strong and be the leader everyone knows she can be.
Lily thinks the war will end in Salem, because destroying Henry Luther is her birthright, isn't it?

Emma Hart is a young mum/maid/launderette/personal chef/author who lives in Barnstaple,
Devon in England. She lives with a man bearing the title fiancé who is incapable of
picking up dirty socks and their one year old little monster who currently shouts 'quack' at
everything.
When she's not writing or being mum, she enjoys sitting down with a good book to get
five minutes peace, which almost never happens. She freely admits to hating talent shows
on TV, (The Voice, Xfactor etc) but being completely addicted to them and unable to stop
watching. Emma believes there are only two men in the world who can say they truly
understand women – their names are Ben & Jerry – because if you didn't understand women
there's no way you could create ice-cream that good.
She also admits to being a bit eBay obsessive. You will find at least 200 items on her watch
list at any one time. Little girl's shoes is another love of hers – just as well because her
daughter grows incredibly quickly. Sadly, this is the only one of her obsessions she is able
to justify.

MEET and GREET
#1 – Do You See Writing as a
Career?
If you'd asked me a month ago, the
answer would have been no. I saw it as a serious hobby that I really enjoyed.
Now though, thanks to the support from my readers, it's become such a huge part
of my life it's most definitely my career, and I hope it stays that way!
#2 – What was the Hardest Part of
Your Writing Process?
Filling in the blanks. I always
write a rough timeline of events before I start a book, and it's the little
scenes that pull the book together I struggle with. I sometimes have all the
big scenes written before I even get to think of the smaller ones.
#3 – Did you have any One Person
Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
No! Believe it or not, no-one
other than a very close friend and my partner knew I wrote for six months. I
wrote Lily; The Witch Hunter completely alone. However, after a bottle of wine,
a loosened tongue and extreme excitement for my tour I announced it on my personal
Facebook. I wish I'd done it before. The support I've received from my friends
on there put me back on Apple's best seller list in the Fantasy section. I also
now have six fantastic beta readers, one of which who doubles as my editor. She
has Lily; The Witch Hunter now so it's polished ready for me to put into print.
The fact I don't have to do it alone anymore is an amazing feeling.
#4 – What is next for your
writing?
I'm currently writing the fifth
book in The Mauve Legacy, titled Prophecy. There's a character mentioned in
previous books taking a main role and I'm having so much fun developing her.
I'm also writing another YA Paranormal separate from The Mauve Legacy, titled
Destiny. I hope to have them both released early January, if not before then.
There's also another book in the early stages. It's a massive step outside my
comfort zone so I'm keeping it under wraps as I'm unsure how well it will go. I
have my fingers crossed though.
#5 – Do you have an addiction to
reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?
I don't know if addiction is a
strong enough word. If there's rehab for readers then check me in now! I
believe I have around 500 eBooks just on my iPhone on various apps.. And don't
get me started on my paperbacks! I'm not reading anything right now since I'm
swamped with writing, but the next on my list is A Touch of Crimson by Sylvia
Day.
This or That?
