#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
Yes. Writing can be a career depending upon how much effort
is put into it. There are a lot of writers out there and they all have
different levels of experience and commitment to their careers as authors.
Anyone who is serious about writing needs to learn the craft and write as much
as possible. Is writing a career? Absolutely.
#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
Editing is the most difficult part of writing. The creative
process of initially writing a manuscript is the easy part. Editing can be
difficult and it’s best to hire someone to do it for you. Over-editing can also
pose a problem because if you’re not careful you can edit the life right out of
the manuscript.
#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with
Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
Not so much one specific person, but a few people. I gained
a lot of great experience from my previous publisher (Echelon Press) and some good
advice from editors that I’ve worked with. Their input helped me smooth out my
writing and become aware of common mistakes. It has been a great experience for
me and has helped me to grow as a writer.
#4 – What is next for your writing?
I am currently writing Dangerous Love (Moonlight Destiny,
Book 2). I’ve enjoyed creating these
books and am excited to see how it has all come together. Sometimes the
characters surprise me with what happens next in the story. When I write, I
don’t always know how something is going to turn out until after I really get
into the story and write.
#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing?
If so, what are you currently reading?
When I’m not writing, I’m reading. I’m totally hooked!
Currently I’m reading two books: Fate by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff and Dead Radiance
(A Valkyrie Novel, #1) by T. G. Ayer.

Rebecca Foote loves writing paranormal romance and urban fantasy books. Love stories, both sweet and tragic, ignite her imagination and inspire her writing. When she isn’t writing or thinking up new story ideas, you can find her spending time with her family or enjoying chocolate cake and a movie.
