New Adult Paranormal Romance
Date Published: 9/5/2013
Five strangers scattered across America have three things in common with each other.
One: They each have special abilities that shouldn’t be possible.
Two: They’ve all just had people try to kill them.
Three: They’ve all just been kidnapped and taken away from their home, families and friends.
Their lives will never be the same as they’re taken to a government facility and told that their abilities mean that they must train to become soldiers and fight. But are they being told the truth? Or is something more sinister going on? They must learn to trust each other and decide if they should stay on this path or run away from it. Either way there is no going back.

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
No. Right now I view writing as something fun and to do when
I’m in the mood. As soon as I see it as a career, then I think my mindset might
change to feeling as though it’s a chore.
#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
The moment I realized I was going to have to scrap two and a
half books and almost start over. It worked out for the best in the end, but
that was incredibly daunting.
#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with
Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
Amy, my brother’s girlfriend (now sister-in-law) was a huge
help. She was the first person to read my book and just from her suggestions, I
ended up re-writing the entire thing. She pushed me in the right direction and
was supportive. I also have several other friends that kept me going through
the self-doubt.
#4 – What is next for your writing?
I have two rules for writing. One: I don’t talk about what
I’m doing next until it is finished. Two: If I plan to write a series, then all
of the books must be up to at least first draft stage before I talk about them.
So for other projects, my lips are sealed. For the final two books in the Taken
Series, they are in the process of final edits.
#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing?
If so, what are you currently reading?
I’m so addicted to reading, that I probably have serious
issues. I am currently reading Star Kissed by Lizzy Ford, Shadows by Jennifer
L. Armentrout, Cage by Harper Sloan and Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec. Of
course that’ll be completely different in a few days.
DESCRIBE Your Book in 1 Tweet: A little bit of everything
and a whole lot of heart.
This or That?
#1 - iPd or Mp3? Ipod
#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate… everyday…
#3 – Mashed Potatoes or French Fries? French Fries and
gravy!
#4 – Comedy or Drama? Comedy, I love to laugh.
#5 – Danielle Steel or Nicholas Sparks? Nicholas Sparks,
although his endings sometimes scare me.
#6 – Fantasy or Reality? Fantasy. You can do anything and go
anywhere in fantasy. In reality I need to work to get paid to afford petrol to
leave my house.
#7 – Call or Text? Text, I’m a horrible listener. If it’s
not written in front of me, then I’ve most likely misheard you or tuned out.
#8 – Public School or Home School ?
Public School, schooling life is meant to be miserable and awkward and I can’t
imagine Public school being anything but that.
#9 – Coffee or Hot Chocolate? Chocolate… everyday…
#10 – eBook or Paperback? Ebook. I love the fact that I have
access to my library where ever I am. I’m also incredibly lazy and sometimes
books can be heavy to hold up when I’m doing an all-nighter reading. Plus there
are no shadows cast over the page from an ebook. However if the apocalypse
comes in my lifetime and the worlds power supply goes dark, I’ll concede that
paperback rules the world.
Born and raised in South Australia, Jessica spends her days working in a bakery, afternoons catching up on lost sleep, and nights reading and writing. Writing has always been a passion of hers, however it wasn’t until Zoe appeared into her head and wouldn’t leave that she finally was able to put a story down and finish it. After writing three books, she is wondering if she should start charging Zoe and her friends rent.
