Reading Addiction Blog Tours Author Meet and Greet
#1 – Do
You See Writing as a Career?
Yes, absolutely. I love to write. It’s a huge
thrill when someone else actually likes something I wrote. For some reason, it
always surprises me. Writing is the best job in the world.
#2 –
What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
Editing is always the hardest part. It’s
long and tedious work. Good thing I love my own books or I’d never get through
it! By the time they are published I’ve read my own books at least a hundred
times. Literally.
#3 –
Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of
Your Family?
As far as encouragement and confidence, yes.
An acquaintance wanted to read my books. I nervously sent them to her. She read
all six of my novels in about a month and loved them! She couldn’t get enough.
Finally someone besides a family member loved my books and this gave me so much
confidence to move forward. Of course, we are great friends now!
#4 –
What is next for your writing?
Next I’m going to write a military romance and
a futuristic romance. I write romance in all of its many sub-genres. I released
two novels to begin with because I didn’t want to be labeled as a paranormal
author. (Lancaster House is a paranormal romance and Sierra is romantic
suspense) That way, readers received a taste of what to expect from me as an
author.
Here is my release schedule for all six of my
completed novels:
Lancaster
House June 2012
Sierra
June 2012
I Have People Sept. 2012
The Middle Aisle Dec. 2012
Joshua’s Folly March 2013
For Nick
June 2013
#5 – Do
you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you
currently reading?
I’ve always been a reader. Honestly, I feel
that the simple act of reading taught me how to be a writer. Currently, I’m
reading One Day at a Time by Danielle Steel.
This or That?
#1 - iPd or Mp3?
IPd.
#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla?
Vanilla. Does that make me sound boring? Is
this a trick question?
#3 –
Mashed Potatoes or French Fries?
Mashed Potatoes. My daughter says she’s turned
into me—can’t drive past a KFC without stopping for mashed potatoes and gravy.
#4 – Comedy or Drama?
Drama—love a movie/book that makes me cry.
#5 –
Danielle Steel or Nicholas Sparks?
Too hard—it’s a Sophie’s Choice. These are my
two favorite authors.
#6 – Fantasy or Reality?
Fantasy. Always.
#7 – Call or Text?
Text. Hate talking on the phone. Love
answering machines.
#8 –
Public School or Home
School ?
Public. Voted Most Shyest on Senior Mosts!
Ugh. Anyone who knows me, knows that’s not true.
#9 –
Coffee or Hot Chocolate
No contest. Hot Chocolate.
#10 – eBook or Paperback?
Paperback. Although my hubby just bought me a
Kindle Fire—ebooks here I come!
