Tour Kick Off - Meet and Greet - Fearsome by S.A. Wolfe

New Adult / Romance
Date Published: 10/1/2013

Jessica Channing’s big city life should be more exciting than sixty-hour work weeks and popcorn nights with her girlfriends, but it’s not. She has worked hard fulfilling her role as a child prodigy and graduating college years before her peers. She’s the good girl, the brilliant girl.
Unfortunately, she’s also the dateless young woman.
That all changes with one phone call. Jess’s rigid, predictable life upends when she must visit a small, obscure town to deal with a relative’s death. This isn’t just any little speck of a town, though. Long lost memories come crashing down on Jess’s world when two men, the Blackard brothers, seem to lure her in.
Dylan is cover model handsome, and pursues Jess the minute she comes to town. Then there is tall, dark and gorgeous Carson, who hides his own secrets behind his hardened reserve.
For someone who has been governed by her own obsessive behaviors and fears, Jess lets her guard down and jumps at the opportunity to have an affair with a man she actually finds attractive for a change.\
There’s just one problem. Jess discovers that she can’t have a simple romantic fling because true passion does indeed come with some very big strings attached to it. She will have to own up to her own truths about love and face the two extraordinary men; both troubled in their own ways and both determined to have her.

This novel contains graphic sexual content and strong language. It is intended for mature readers.

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
Yes, I’ve been writing since I was a teenager, and later on I had several completed unpublished novels. One manuscript was agented and shopped around for a movie option. Unfortunately, I had no success in those early days, but I learned a lot about the business, and hopefully, became a better writer in the process.

I’m always distracted by stories or characters in my head, so writing is my only outlet for this affliction.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
The hardest part is not letting others invade my writing time. My kids have stopped knocking on the door when I’m writing and they just barge in with all sorts of questions at anytime of day. I think this is why I sometimes write from midnight to 4AM on the weekends – just for the solitude and the ability to concentrate on my characters.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
Friends who want to read what I write tend to be too polite or too excited – their feedback is nice but not necessarily constructive. I have always connected to other authors. They are very generous with support and advice. Also, my editing team provides brutal honest opinions on particular scenes that need to be changed. Other than the unwavering support of my husband, there has always been a team of people.

#4 – What is next for your writing?
I’ve already started another contemporary romance. I don’t like to talk about my works-in-progress because it’s constantly changing. I will say it will be another stand-alone novel with an HEA. Here are some key words that have inspired my current novel: surfer, Brooklyn, sharks, rockslide, Aspen, Hawaii, love and romance…..I’m not offering much here.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?
Every day must include reading. I can live without TV, but I can’t live without reading.

DESCRIBE Your Book in 1 Tweet:
A sexy romance with emotionally-charged drama, a lot of steamy scenes, and an extra side of humor.

Okay, I’m still not very good at Twitter.

This or That?

#1 - iPd or Mp3?
iPod…I have a ridiculous collection of them.

#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate!

#3 – Mashed Potatoes or French Fries?
Mashed potatoes and fries together with mustard and hot sauce.

#4 – Comedy or Drama?
Both. If they’re well done, I love both.

#5 – Danielle Steel or Nicholas Sparks?
I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but I’ve never read either of them.

#6 – Fantasy or Reality?
Fantasy, because I always get to fly like a super hero and everyone is beautiful and healthy……Reality, because a real kiss from my husband is better than the fantasy one. How sappy is that?

#7 – Call or Text?
I text my kids to track them like they are free-range elk or something, but I love gabbing on the phone with girlfriends. I like to hear their laughing voices, which never comes across in a text. LOL isn’t the same as actually hearing it.

#8 – Public School or Home School?
I went to public and private schools all over the country. Because of my father’s career, I attended over 20 schools. However, one of my children is autistic and I did homeschool him for two years, but not by myself. I hired a team of therapists who did the heavy lifting, and I did the fun stuff with him, trips to museums, and events.

#9 – Coffee or Hot Chocolate?
Hot Chocolate

#10 – eBook or Paperback?
Now it’s eBooks. Hundreds and hundreds. My hardcover collection has been put in storage, and my paperbacks were donated to a non-profit bookstore.

S.A. Wolfe
S. A. Wolfe lives with her wonderfully loud, opinionated children and husband. She is a voracious reader and passionate about writing, and when those two activities don’t keep her locked away in her room, she loves hiking mountains as much as she adores all the thrills New York City has to offer.
