Tour Kick Off - Ghost of a Chance by @_ani_gonzalez

Paranormal Romance

B-movie actress turned real estate agent Elizabeth Hunt should have it made. The real estate market is thriving and she had a fabulous house to sell. Too bad the house is in Banshee Creek, a tiny Virginia hamlet that has been recently crowned as the “Most Haunted Town in America.” But with the help of the Banshee Creek Historical Preservation Committee, Elizabeth hopes to put the ghost stories to rest. Her hometown will again be known for its vintage homes, its heirloom apple orchards, and its historical, not phantasmagorical, attributes, and she won’t let anyone, even her long-time crush, Gabe Franco, stand in her way.

Gabe Franco has a big problem. His new marketing campaign for Banshee Creek Cidery is based on one thing, ghosts. But the Historical Preservation Committee nutcases are trying to erase the town’s spookier traditions, and he has to stop them before they render his investment worthless. Unfortunately, the leader of the anti-ghost crusade is all-too-tempting Elizabeth Hunt, his best friend’s sister and the one woman who is strictly off limits. But when sexy real estate agent rallies the townsfolk against him, Gabe wonders if he'll lose his business…or his heart.

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career? Absolutely. It’s a job, same as any other (well, except for the yoga pants). I see myself as a professional writer.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process? Picking a idea. There’s so many plot bunnies, but only a limited amount of time. I pay attention to what my readers tell me they want. For example, I didn’t intend to write about the Banshee Creek paranormal investigations team, PRoVE, but readers love them. I got so many requests for more Caine and Cassie stories that I created a newsletter-exclusive Ghost Hunters After Dark series. You can get the books by signing up for my newsletter through this link: http://anigonzalezblogs.blogspot.com/p/newsletter-signup.html

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family? So many romance writers and fans helped me. It’s hard to pick just one. It’s an incredibly supportive community and I’m proud to be a part of it.

#4 – What is next for your writing? More Banshee Creek. I will write a couple of more books (there’s a holiday novella, Snowbound with Ghost, coming up!) in that series before starting on my science fiction small town romance series (hot aliens, FBI agents, otherworldly sexytimes…did I say hot aliens?), Crater Lake.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading? Nalini Singh, Kresley Cole, and Jill Shalvis are my favorite authors. I also love Melissa Blue, Amie Stuart, and Holley Trent. My TBR is epic right now because there’s so many good books out there. It’s a great time to be a romance reader.

This or That?

#1 - iPod or Mp3? IPod. I don’t go anywhere without it.

#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla? Vanilla…with strawberries…and a biscuit. Okay, it’s strawberry shortcake. My favorite ice cream is strawberry shortcake.

#3 – Mashed Potatoes or French Fries? I think this question violates the Geneva Convention. I have to choose just one? Fine, French Fries it is.

#4 – Comedy or Drama? Comedy. I don’t like sad stories. That’s why my books always have happy endings.

#5 – Danielle Steel or Nicholas Sparks? Judith Krantz. I love the over-the-top eighties-style craziness.

#6 – Fantasy or Reality? I’m allergic to reality.

#7 – Call or Text? Text. I’m shy.

#8 – Public School or Home School? Public school.

#9 – Coffee or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate.

#10 – eBook or Paperback? Ebook. I still love my paperbacks, but ebooks are so convenient.

Ani Gonzalez loves sexy stories and quirky towns with spooky houses.  She currently lives in Minnesota with her family.
