A severe winter storm leaves Albertsville snowbound—a trap only the dead can hope to flee—and Ryan becomes a liability that must be silenced at any cost.
The answers to the town’s mystery and its salvation are hidden...In the Bones.
Reading Addiction Blog Tours MEET and
GREET
#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
Definitely. My “day job” is writing articles for a wide
range of clients online, so I have made writing my career. The long term goal
is to write fiction only, but I suspect it will be very long term.
#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
Learning to focus on one thing at a time. I tend to get
distracted easily and I work at home, so between kids, dogs and the wonders of
social media, it’s easy to forget what it is I’m supposed to be doing. Now and
then I read through a rough draft and find sections where I’m not really sure
what I was thinking.
#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with
Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
I have many people outside of my family who’ve been
immensely helpful. For a long time I was part of a group on Goodreads that
focused on writing fiction and publishing. These people became like family for
me, and are still a huge source of support, advice and encouragement.
#4 – What is next for your writing?
I have several novels completed, so I plan to publish at
least two more by this time next year. The Legend of Jackson Murphy, which is
more of a caper type of story and full of dark humor, is scheduled for release
this summer, and after that I’m not sure but I’ll have to make a decision soon.
#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing?
If so, what are you currently reading?
I have a huge reading addiction. My love of writing grew
from my love of a great story. I read everything, regardless of genre. Right
now I’m in between books, but George R.R. Martin’s “A Dance with Dragons” is
next on my shelf.
DESCRIBE Your Book in 1 Tweet:
Secrets and fear bind a town to one dangerous and cunning
man. Ryan Cassidy can help them break free…if he survives the winter.
This or That?
#1 - iPd or Mp3?
Neither? I keep playlists (iTunes and Mp3) on my computer,
but I usually just turn on the radio when I’m writing.
#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla?
Definitely chocolate.
#3 – Mashed Potatoes or French Fries?
Poutine. (Which would be French fries topped with cheese
curds and gravy, and sometimes bacon.)
#4 – Comedy or Drama?
Comedy
#5 – Danielle Steel or Nicholas Sparks?
Oy…is there a third option?
#6 – Fantasy or Reality?
Fantasy.
#7 – Call or Text?
Text, but I can’t force my fingers to type anything but the
whole word. It takes me forever to text a single message.
#8 – Public School or Home School ?
Public school and my kids are relieved about that.
#9 – Coffee or Hot Chocolate
Coffee.
#10 – eBook or Paperback?
As long as I can read it, I’m happy.
Renee Miller is a freelance writer living in Tweed, Ontario. Small town life is busy, but she’s managed to sandwich a book or two between the demands of housewifery and hiding from the neighbors.
Bitten by the writing bug at the tender age of nine or ten (she can't recall those years as clearly anymore) Renee has forever had a story building in her head. It wasn't until 2009 that she considered turning her passion into a serious endeavor. She has several completed novels she prefers to call "almost published" and many more awaiting their chance to be polished enough for public consumption.
Last year she co-founded On Fiction Writing, a website for writers, created by writers. IN THE BONES is her first published novel.

Great interview! I can't wait to read Renee's book. She's an amazing writer. I disagree with only one thing here...poutine is gross.
