#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?

I always loved to write, but never thought about it as a career until later in life. Fortunately, and thanks to an amazing husband, I’m now able to write full-time. I feel very blessed to be able to spend my days doing something I’m so passionate about.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?

Editing! The creative portion of writing (plot development, world building, character creation) is where all the fun is, and the more technical aspects can be tedious.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?

Yes, one of my best friends. I’ll never forget sitting across from her in a restaurant and sliding my newly-bound manuscript across the table to her. Her eyes widened when I told her I had written a book. Since she was as obsessed about reading as I was, I asked her to look it over and give me her honest opinion. Her enthusiasm is what gave me the confidence to publish my first book in 2011.

#4 – What is next for your writing?

I have three books on the back burner. Next up is a historical, epic fantasy entitled Feral Princess.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?

Absolutely. I read one after the other and still have a towering TBR pile! Right now, I’m reading Book #4 in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series.
