Tour Kick Off - Meet and Greet - Breaking Josephine by Marie Stewart

New Adult / Contemporary Romance
Date Published: 5/29/2013

At 22, Josephine Sinclair thought she’d finally closed the door on her past and was moving on with her life. With a stable job as a waitress, a small apartment in town, and scenic Cannon Beach a two-mile jog to the west, she was getting by.
In a mansion on the beach, Dex Hartley felt just the opposite. After years of living the fast life in New York and L.A., he’d come home to bury himself in the ghosts of his past and his grief.
When an old obsession comes back to life, Josephine finds herself face-to-face with Dex, turning her ordinary world upside down and igniting a burning desire in them both they can’t deny. As Jo opens herself up to Dex, his passion, and his body, she unearths a lifetime of lies and deception that threaten to destroy the normal life she’s managed to start. As her hard-earned life collapses around her, will the truth break her or set her free?

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
I do. I’ve been writing for all of my professional life – first as a lawyer for almost a decade, and now as a fiction author as well. Whether it’s legal writing or my next novel, I think whatever job I pursue will be writing-focused.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
The hardest pat of the writing process for me is finding patience. When I’ve written that first draft, I want to rush to publication and move on, but books are made with editing, and that takes an incredible amount of patience. Learning to slow down and edit every sentence, every page is a skill will always need to practice.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
My best friend of over 20 years. She’s an invaluable resource for bouncing around ideas, giving me honest criticism, and helping me see what’s important.

#4 – What is next for your writing?
I have several short stories in the works that I expect to publish soon.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?
I definitely have a reading addiction. I’ve just finished World War Z by Max Brooks and The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. I’m probably moving on to a suspense novel next, maybe Sandra Brown.
